He began his career in accounting over 30 years ago, spending the first 10 years working for global accounting firms Arthur Andersen and Deloitte and Touche. During this time he obtained both his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from California in 1984 as well as his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1986. Following this, he spent 8 years in various financial reporting and oversight roles for both profit oriented public and private businesses, as well as not-for-profit entities. Having founded his own practice in 1992 - which has now evolved into Rashidi LLP - Frank has spent the past 20 years serving his clients, drawing on his wealth of experience and knowledge in order to help his clients succeed. He graduated summa cum laude from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2006, obtaining his Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.Andrew spent the next 5 years at KPMG LLP, working with large private companies - both owner-managed and private equity funded – to meet their diverse assurance and taxation planning and compliance needs. Andrew obtained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 2009, and completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants' (CICA) In-Depth Tax Course in 2011. In addition to his work with Rashidi LLP, Andrew has facilitated as a lab instructor for the fourth year undergraduate Canadian taxation course at the Schulich School of Business, and taught at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO)'s School of Accountancy (SOA) - a mandatory course of study to be completed by CA candidates in Ontario. A graduate of the Schulich School of Business at York Univeristy, Matthew spent 4+ years at global accounting firms KPMG and Deloitte where he received his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 2012. Matthew’s expertise covers both assurance and tax across a broad spectrum of companies and industries - from venture backed tech start-ups to mature businesses. In particular Matthew’s focus has been on private companies, assisting entrepreneurs and management teams with their tax and assurance needs; allowing them to focus on their core business Outside of public accounting, Matthew has also taken active roles in several companies, from growth-stage ventures to mature businesses, as acting CFO and Controller. In this capacity Matthew has focused on providing management and boards with the critical financial data needed to make sound business decisions. In doing so he has been responsible for managing accounting and finance departments, presenting financial results to management teams, assisting with company budgeting, preparing forward looking forecasts and projections, and advising on strategic investment decisions including financing and M&A opportunities.
